Bread, butter, and fish make up this appetizer from Rooftop. The video shows how the butter is spread on a slice, the bread is divided, and the fillets are placed on top. It is a tabletop preparation, not a process of preparing the fish from scratch.
Assembling the appetizer
- The base: the bread is cut on the board and the butter is taken from its container with a knife.
- Spread and divide: the butter is spread over the bread; the pieces are arranged on a plate.
- The fish: it is placed on the layer of butter, keeping all three components visible.
What the anchovy container contains
The 70g smoked butter anchovies include both components. The product sheet states 47% butter and 21% anchovy: the container weight is not 70g of fish. You do not need to buy another block of butter to have both ingredients.
A block of smoked butter without anchovies is another item. If you assemble the appetizer with ingredients bought separately, check the product sheet of your chosen fish; the appearance in the video alone does not confirm its origin or the weight per canapé.
Before serving
The combination contains MILK and FISH; also check the bread and its allergens, as well as traces from the packaging. The video does not include quantities or a number of servings. Prepare only the bread you are going to serve and store the remaining ingredients according to their labels.
