Find answers about Rooftop product formats, ingredients and uses here. For information about a specific product, open its product page and follow the instructions on its packaging.
Which pastrami format can I choose?
Compare 100 g sliced pastrami, the 500 g sliced format and the whole piece of approximately 2 kg. Choose according to the quantity you need and whether you prefer it pre-sliced or want to decide the cut when serving.
Is smoked butter available in more than one size?
See the 200 g smoked butter and the 1 kg format. Choose the quantity according to how often you use it and the storage instructions on the product page.
Do all products have the same ingredients or preservatives?
No. Each product page lists its own composition. For example, pastrami lists preservative E-250 and mustard seeds. Do not assume that a product contains no preservatives because it is artisan-made or smoked: check the complete list.
Where can I check allergens and possible traces?
In the ingredient list on each product page and on the packaging. Also check the components of your recipe. Do not assume a preparation meets a dietary requirement simply because you remove one ingredient. If you need to clarify a detail, use the contact page before choosing.
How should products be stored and how long do they last once opened?
The temperature and consumption period after opening depend on the product. Follow its storage instructions and the date on the packaging. Do not apply the same temperature or time limit to the entire selection of smoked products, butters and fermented foods.
Can I eat any smoked product directly or freeze it?
Check the preparation and storage instructions for the specific product. The word “smoked” alone does not establish that it is ready to eat or suitable for freezing. Do not replace packaging instructions with a general rule.
Do fermented and pickled mean the same thing?
These terms are not interchangeable. Check the process described and the ingredients on each product page. Compare products and uses in our guide to fermented and pickled foods.
How can I use smoked products in the kitchen?
Butter can be used with bread, vegetables, pasta or meat; pastrami can be part of a sandwich, and piparras can accompany an appetiser. See the recipes and the guide to formats and uses for more ideas.
Are there options for restaurants and other professional kitchens?
